CostPlus Lead Bot is a limited automated service operated by CostPlus OÜ. It checks a small number of publicly accessible business websites to understand whether they offer online commerce and may be relevant for CostPlus merchant services.
The bot identifies itself as CostPlusLeadBot/1.0, respects
robots.txt, uses conservative request limits, and accesses public HTTPS pages
only.
What the bot does
- Requests the public homepage and, at most, one relevant contact, terms, or about page.
- Reads literal public business details and basic online-commerce signals.
- Does not execute JavaScript, submit forms, sign in, create accounts, or make purchases.
- Does not retain raw HTML from the checked pages.
Site controls
Website operators can use standard robots.txt rules for the user-agent
CostPlusLeadBot. An explicit denial is honored before a page request is made.
Temporary failures and uncertain responses fail closed.
